The Best Cruise Movies

Taking a holiday on a cruise is something we all love and when we see our favorite stars on lavish cruise it gives a totally different dimension to luxurious holidays that you wish to take. There are some very great movies which are popular and were shot on cruise ships. Though we all cannot afford such vacations but there are many cheap cruises so, but when we see out stars on these huge ships we start imagining ourselves with them because of the way the movies are shot.

The first one being the all time favorite Titanic which was released in 1997. The movie was predictable as everyone knew the story line but the special effects and the sets of the movie were out of the world.

Another movie which released in 1997 was Out to Sea and starred Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon. This was a movie which was about cruise ships having gentleman hosts. The comic timing made the movie a lot of fun.

The Poseidon Adventure which was released in 1972 was a great disaster movie. The movie has great sets and senseless entertainment and starred Roddy McDowell, Gene Hackman and the others.

Another great movie shot on an ocean liner was An Affair to Remember and was released in 1978. It was linked to the Empire State Building and was a love story and loved by many.

In 1960 The Last Voyage was released and starred Dorothy Malone and Robert Stack. It was about a cruise liner which was sinking. Very intense and gripping, the producer in order to add reality had sunk a real ship.
